In once sense, Client Path Marketing might feel like a competitive concept. CPM stresses an overall view of marketing, with activities ranging from reaching Strangers to cultivating word-of-mouth advocates. CPM is “opposed” to single-media marketing concepts IF trumpeted as the best answer to all marketing questions.
However, CPM embraces all legitimate marketing activities that can contribute along the Client Path. The key is correctly positioning each marketing concept in terms of its Client Path role.
Example: a sales training company can play a key role in conversion of Prospects into first-time Clients. Company A has solid advertising, hence a good flow of Prospects. Sales training may be a top priority. Company B has dismal advertising and a puny flow of Prospects. Sales training is not a priority until the Prospect-count problem is addressed.
